Where is Camp located in 2022?

Camp Grace is located at 6385 W. White Mountain Blvd., Lakeside, AZ

How will I be assigned a bunk?

Bunkmates will be grouped by campers' biological sex and similar age. If this does not fit your needs, please contact us.

What amenities are provided?

Camp Grace is equipped with bunkhouses, (sleeping 10 campers each), separate his/her bathrooms and showers, a nurses station, a full kitchen, recreational hall, covered outdoor space, lots of pine trees, and much more. Please visit the Camp Grace website for full details.

What has Camp Grace done about Covid-19?

We will be following the City of Lakeside and the State of Arizona guidelines. If masks are required, then we will be wearing masks when in close contact with each other. Campers will wash their hands regularly. We will hold the majority of our activities outside. Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout the campgrounds. We will have precautions necessary to help keep everyone safe and healthy. As will any illness, we can not make any guarantees. 

Can I bring my cell phone or any other device?

We ask that you leave all valuable items (cell phone, electronic devices, fancy jeweler, clothes and/or shoes, etc......) at home where they can be safe. Your camp counselor will be taking lots of photos of your group, so if you forget your camera, no worries!

What do I need to pack?

We have done the work for you and made a full packing list. Please read over the Parent/Camper Handbook for full details.

Does my child need dance shoes?

Yes. Once the cast has been decided we will provide a list of shoes and other essential items that each character will need to bring with them to camp.

Do all meals provide gluten or nut-free option?

All medical and dietary needs need to be noted in the registration. We will do all we can to provide all for dietary needs.

I’ve never been to a theatre camp before and I'm new to the performing arts. Is that OK?

Yes. WMPA Summer Camp programs are attended by both returning participants and newcomers. 

How much prior training do I need to have?

No prior acting, singing, or dancing experience is required to participate in the Cast program. Due to the ensemble nature of the program, both beginners and experienced campers will be nurtured and challenged.

What are the hours each day?

Rise, shine, and start rehearsal and classes from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Evening programs and more fun will occur after dinner.

Can I request my child to be in a group with a friend or relative attending the same program?

Yes, if they are the same gender and in the same age category. In the registration form, please leave the first/last name and age in the comment section. 

Will there be a camp nurse?

Yes. We will have a camp nurse on the premises at all times.

Will there be security at night around camp?

Rest assured. We will have a security team keeping our campers safe!

What are the showers like?

The separate boys and girls restrooms/showers have been recently remodeled. They include individual shower stalls.

 

What are the rules and expectations for behavior?

We are a non-bully self-expression camp. We expect the kids to be able to express themself in a safe inclusive environment. We will not tolerate bullying or self-destructive behavior. If behavior issues arise, the parent/guardian will be notified and a warning will be given or action will be taken if needed.

 

Can the participants leave the premises on his or her own, or must a parent or guardian be present?

All participants 17 and under cannot leave the premises without a guardian signing them out. 

All guardians must be at least 18 years of age. Any changes to the authorized sign-in/sign-out form must be made on the online account created when you enroll your child. Changes to this will not be accepted over the phone.

Will parents be able to watch rehearsals?

Due to space and security constraints, parents are not permitted to watch rehearsals. We will be posting photos and videos within our BAND account. We will have performances two performances (Friday and Saturday) that all are invited to attend. We will send out an email letting you know when tickets go on sale. You will also be available to purchase tickets at the door.

What is your cancellation policy?

If a session is canceled by WMPA, the full fee will be refunded. Campers may withdraw from the program up to 30 days in advance and will be given a full refund, minus the $80 processing fee. Cancellations made after 30 days prior to the start of camp, will not be entitled to a refund, depending on circumstances. Any payments made (deposit or full payments) after this time will not be refunded.
